What decides the grade
Highly reflective, it keeps fingerprints and shows the slightest micro-scratch. Handle by the edges, shoot in indirect light.
The illustration covers the whole card: there is no safe zone for your fingers. Every handling happens on the graded surface.
With no clear frame, centering is judged on artwork landmarks and the back. It is harder to estimate by eye than on a framed card.
Certified populations are still low. The scarcity of a high grade is therefore hard to assess, and resale less predictable.
