Terms of use

The rules of the service. Plainly stated, with no hidden clauses.

Last updated : 25 July 2026

Purpose of the service

GradeMate provides an automated estimate of a collectible card's condition from photographs, with reference to criteria published by grading companies.

This estimate is indicative. It is not a grade, a certification, an appraisal, or investment advice.

No affiliation

GradeMate is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, partnered with or endorsed by PSA, Beckett (BGS), CGC, SGC, PCA, HGA or any other grading company.

Names and trademarks are cited descriptively and belong to their respective owners.

Limitation of liability

The grade actually assigned by a grading company may differ, sometimes substantially, from the estimate provided. Grading involves human judgement and depends on factors not observable in a photograph.

GradeMate cannot be held liable for any purchase, sale or submission decision made on the basis of an estimate, nor for costs incurred as a result.
