Star Wars Unlimited cards

Star Wars Unlimited launched in 2024. The game rests on one of the most powerful licences there is, with a variant system — Hyperspace, Showcase — that structures scarcity and therefore the case for grading.

In short

On Star Wars Unlimited, the first task is to identify the variant correctly before considering a submission: the game issues its cards in standard, Hyperspace and Showcase versions, whose print runs and values have nothing in common. Technically, the cards grade like any modern TCG, with foil variant surfaces as the main limiting factor. The game being recent, graded populations remain low and resale liquidity is less established than on settled TCGs.

What to check

Identify the variant

Standard, Hyperspace or Showcase: the gap in print run and value is considerable. Getting the variant wrong means getting the economics wrong.

Foil surfaces

As with any modern foil, the finish reveals micro-scratches and handling marks. It is the leading source of lost points.

Edges on dark cards

The Star Wars universe yields many dark-dominant cards: edge whitening stands out immediately.

Liquidity still being built

The graded market is young. A fine grade does not yet guarantee a quick sale at the expected price.
